Course Content

  • Emergent Writers (Primary age 6-8)
    A topic-based course designed to engage our youngest writers in shaping accurate and varied sentences and texts.

     

  • Early Writers (Primary age 7-11)
    A course which lays solid foundations in planning, spelling, sentence structure and literary devices to add variety and interest to writing, and skillful whole-text construction.
     

  • Writers' Workshop (age 10-13)
    A course focused on shaping extended pieces of topic-based writing which as a result exhibit high levels of accuracy, creativity and flair.
     

  • Primary Academic Writing (Primary age 9-12)
    Specifically designed for local school students to improve their writing skills in preparation for the UPSR English examination.

Who is the class for?

These UK-curriculum writing courses are specially designed for primary students, age 7-13 years old.

How long is the course?

Each term consists of 10 x 1.5-hour classes, totalling 15 hours. There is a maximum of 16 students per class.

These classes run at our Tanjung Tokong and Bukit Mertajam centres in Penang and in Desa ParkCity, KL.

Secondary Academic Writing

A customised course that encourages individuality of approach and creative thinking to produce accurate, fluent and effective pieces of writing in a key range of secondary genres.

Course Overview

  • Learn the language, skills and strategies you need to write effective academic pieces in a range of genres, including essays, summaries, speeches, reports, reviews, and case studies. 

  • Develop a better understanding of how to plan and produce the type of clear, concise, cohesive work that achieves high grades in both local and international examinations.

  • Improve and expand your application of appropriate grammar, vocabulary, punctuation and a range of important literary devices.

Who is the class for?

This UK-curriculum writing course is for secondary students age 13-18 (Form 1-5)
